There are some similarities. Both professionals provide support to the participant. The difference is the therapist gives advice and tends to focus on addressing issues from the past. A Life Coach does not give advice but facilitates the sessions by listening and asking powerful questions that support the participant with self-exploration. Life Coaches focus on the present and future.
